For a while I started to feel myself unhealthy. Like I eat one full sheep. Really..I am not kidding 😀 Then, I decide that maybe my body wants to detoxify and the day after I start to drink my detox water with lemon, cucumber and mint. First of all, I want to tell you the benefits of detox water
1. Increases your energy
Detoxifying the body helps you to get rid of toxins. And cutting out the sugar, caffeine,fat and replacing them with fresh fruit and vegetable juice makes you boot your energy and to stay well hydrated.
2. Weight loss
In fact, most at-home detox diets involve the use of fresh juice, which is not only good for getting rid of toxins but also for reducing appetite for solid foods. The detox water with fresh fruits and vegetables allows you to feel full and satisfied for longer periods, which eliminates snacking in-between meals.
3. Healthy Skin
Drinking detox water clears your skin. after awhile you will see how your skin looks healthy, and if you have acne problem it will help to reduce acne ,too.
4. Clearer thinking
Detox followers often say that they lose that sense of dizziness, and are able to think more clearly during a detox than when not on it. Because it helps you to be able to concentrate.
This is most important benefits that I choose , also, it has benefits like anti-aging, healthier hair, Strengthened immune system and etc.
There are a lot of type detox water but I use Lemon, cucumber and mint detox water.
- Lemon: Lemon water makes for a powerful detox drink; lemon juice helps to cleanse and alkalize the body. Add one thinly sliced lemon to a large pitcher, or squeeze fresh lemon juice into your glass.
- Mint: Mint adds a touch of sweetness without the sugar to your water, and it also helps settle your stomach and aids in digestion as well.
- Cucumber: Cucumber water isn’t just for spas. Adding a few slices of cucumber to your water makes for excellent rehydration, and cucumber also contains anti-inflammatory properties.
To make one serving of detox water, add three to five slices of cucumber, half a lemon, and a few sprigs of mint leaves to 24 ounces of ice-cold water. You can also add sliced peeled ginger (about a one-inch piece of ginger root, or to taste) for a spicy kick.
